Dear Sir or Ma'am,

Thank you for your inquiry about federal student aid.

We are sorry that you are mistakenly receiving e-mails from us about student financial aid you did not apply for. It appears that the student mistakenly entered your e-mail address when submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA[R]) this year.

Unfortunately, without the student’s identifiers (last name, Social Security number [SSN], and date of birth) we cannot retrieve the student’s file to get a postal address to tell the student that the e-mail address was entered incorrectly.

If you happen to still have the e-mail that contained the Confirmation Page from the student’s original FAFSA submission, please forward it to us. It was probably the first e-mail that you received. That e-mail has a confirmation number we can use to retrieve the file and contact the student with a letter.

If not, please delete any future e-mails as they come to you. We apologize for the inconvenience.
